IMoRD and Programme Manager
Institute Managers of Research Degrees (IMORDs) are essential to the smooth and successful operation of the University’s research degree programmes, and with Programme Managers for Professional Doctorates, manage PGR programmes in each Institute.
Programme Managers work with Professional Doctorate students during Part One of their studies, the taught component, and are responsible for the overall health and quality of the programme.
IMORDs work with all students at their thesis stage. As well as being members of governance structures such as Doctoral College Board and Research Degrees Committee, IMORDs also manage the review of proposals for PhDs, allocate supervisory teams, work with PhD probation panels, and make a number of administrative decisions affecting students.
