Getting the Best from your Supervisor

This session is about how to make the most of the relationship between student and supervisor and how they develop and change over time. Designed to deal with aspects of expectations of doctoral students by supervisors, staff and the university, the annual review process and feedback as well as more practical issues of the relationships that develop. The session will also cover what to do if you experience any problems or want to make a change within your supervisory team.
The aims of this session are:
- To understand the roles and responsibilities of both students and supervisors
- To understand the universities expectations in terms of supervisory relationships
- To learn where to go should any problems arise
